About Ilan Bracha

Ilan Bracha left his home country, Israel when he was just 21 years old. With two thousand dollars in his pocket, he set out to see the world and found Manhattan.

After traveling coast to coast, he moved to New York City in 1996, put his inherent entrepreneurial leadership skills to work by working in a number of diverse jobs and turned that humble nest egg into a multi-million dollar real estate company and investment firm, becoming one of the top real estate professionals in the country and an expert in the Manhattan real estate industry.

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Ilan served as a Commander in the Israeli army after graduating high school. Upon arrival to the Big Apple, he started a business in the hospitality industry but after a few months, realized this venture wasn’t in the cards for his future.

Ilan didn’t view this blip along his career as a failure. To him, it was a beginning to try something different, and he did, by working as a foreman for a moving and storage company. Within months, he recognized a recurring trend with his clients–their dissatisfaction of their moving experience. Ilan listened and wrote and published a magazine, All About Moving and Storage, that educated New Yorkers about the in’s and out’s of moving and what to look for before signing on the dotted line. His publication received national recognition from the Better Business Bureau.

One of those clients, recognizing Ilan’s consummate professionalism, engaging personality and natural leaderships skills, encouraged him to pursue a career in real estate. Ilan attended numerous business and real estate seminars while managing his moving company and within a short time, acquired his license. His former client and mentor, Lewis Kaye offered Ilan the opportunity to join his real estate firm, MLB Kaye International Realty and Ilan quickly became MLB Kaye’s top producer.

Soon after, Prudential Douglas Elliman (PDE) offered him the position of Executive Vice-President and in 2004, Ilan became the youngest Managing Director in the company’s history. During his six years there, he founded and became President of his own luxury real estate team, The Bracha Group and partnered with B+B Investment Group, a private equity fund group.
Ilan’s exclusive listings total $300 million, which has propelled him to a place among Manhattan’s top brokers. Known as a mega broker in Manhattan’s market, (listed as one of the Top Ten Brokers in Manhattan in Real Deal Magazine) he received top awards including Number #1 in sales for the past five years, Number #2 in the entire PDE network, Top Producing Sales Group, Most Sales Transactions, Most Sales Exclusives and Projects to Close over 200 Transactions in 2010 with $200 million in sales volume.

The Wall Street Journal, lore Magazine and REAL trends named The Bracha Group as one of the top real estate teams in the country by sales volume.

Ilan brings 20 members of his team to Keller Williams, along with his stellar reputation, relentless energy and commitment to his customers. Specializing in the sales, marketing and pre-development planning of luxury condominiums (over 500 transactions annually) in Manhattan, he and his team of professionals know New York.
