When the architectural firm of Robert A. M. Stern redesigned the plans for Superior Ink Condominiums and Townhomes in 2007, the team faced a brewing controversy between developers, Related Companies and West Village preservationists.
Superior Ink was a historic building that, as its namesake implies, once housed an ink factory in the 20th century. Preservationists wanted the 195-foot tall smokestacks of Superior Ink to remain as a historical landmark.... Read More
